The name of the font is chosen to suggest its main purpose—setting multiple pages of text. The features in this family were made with that purpose in mind—legibility, distinct italics, small caps and various OpenType features, all of which make this font a useful tool for typographers. On the other hand, setting heavier weights in a large size (typically used for packaging, posters, logotypes, etc.) brings out its display qualities. Pagewalker is very legible and appears to be larger than other text typefaces. That is because the lower-case characters are made large in comparison to the capital letters. This means it can be used for setting text in a 9 pt size for example, while appearing to be 10 pt but occupying less space.

Of all the things in this world that man has invented, nothing can compare to the alphabet. The alphabet has opened the road to the human mind, enabling it to approach God to the limits of its possibilities. It was invented some four thousand years ago, and after its difficult and strange development it has become so easy that today there is no easier skill, and has spread so much in the world that at present in Europe there are peoples among whom there is no one who cannot read and write.

Each weight includes a set of ready-made fractions accessible via the OpenType feature. There is also a full set of numerators and denominators for creating custom fractions.
